    BU Women’s Rowing Wins 2024 Patriot League Championship

    With a sweep in the Grand Finals, the Boston University women's rowing program captured the 2024 Patriot League Championship on Friday (May 17) at the Cooper River.

    Regional championships heat up this weekend as the USRowing Youth Series concludes with the Northwest and Northeast Youth Championships. Collegiately, 10 DI women's conference championships will be run from coast to coast while the majority of the top-ranked men's team will compete at Eastern Sprints. Finally, eight American crews will race at the Final Olympic & Paralympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne.

    This week's Pocock CRCA Coaches Poll is the final one before the DI and DII fields are set for the 2024 NCAA Women's Rowing Championships.

    IRA Lightweight Women’s Poll

    In the final collegiate lightweight women's poll of the season, Princeton claims the top spot for the varsity eight with four first place votes. Boston University is the top ranked crew in both the varsity four and varsity double, coming off a strong weekend in California where they defeated Stanford in both events. 

    NCAA DIII Field is Set

    The DIII field for the 2024 NCAA Rowing Championship has been set. Eight programs will contest two events, first and second varsity eights, for the national championship on May 31-June 1 in Bethel, OH.

    IRA National Championship Division III Selected Teams Announced

    Commissioner Gary Caldwell has announced the teams who have been selected to participate in the 2024 Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship regatta.

    Last Tickets to Paris: Crews Prepare for World Rowing Final Olympic and Paralympic Qualification Regatta

    With the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games just over two months away, most of the crews who will be competing have already qualified their boats through the World Rowing Championships, or the various continental qualification regattas. The last chance for remaining crews to qualify takes place at the 2024 World Rowing Final Olympic & Paralympic Qualification Regatta (FOPQR) in Lucerne, Switzerland from 19-21 May.

    POCOCK CRCA COACHES POLL – WEEK 8, MAY 8

    The Week 8 Pocock CRCA Coaches Poll saw few changes in the Division I category, as Texas retains the top spot.  #6 Brown improved one place, replacing Yale, based on the strength of their performance of Women's Sprints. Central Oklahoma is now the top-ranked team in the DII poll while Weslyan jumped from fourth to second in the DIII poll after a strong weekend at the New England Championships.

    IRCA/IRA COACHES POLL – WEEK 5, MAY 8

    The top spots on the May 8th IRCA/IRA Coaches Poll remain consistent, as Princeton retains the top spot in the Men's Heavyweight Varsity 8 Poll after concluding an undefeated regular season. Wesleyan is top-ranked among the Men's D3 1st Varsity 8's and the Harvard lightweights are first in the Men's Lightweight 1st Varsity 8 Poll. 

    ACRA Poll: May 7

    The May 7th ACRA poll was released today without significant changes from last week. Virginia and Vanderbilt remain in the top spot on the men's and women's varsity eight polls, while Purdue and UC Santa Barbara retained first place rankings for the men's and women's novice eights.
